Location: Leeds

Job Type: Full-time or Part-Time and in office - This is not a work from home or hybrid position

Salary range: £18,000 to £28,000 (depending on experience and pro-rata if part-time)

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented and proactive Mortgage Administrator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our mortgage advisers and ensuring the smooth processing of mortgage applications from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing Applications: Handle and process mortgage applications, ensuring all required documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Client Interaction: Act as the first point of contact for clients, lenders, and conveyancers, addressing queries and providing updates.
  • Coordination: Liaise with Mortgage Advisers to monitor the progress of mortgage cases and resolve any arising issues.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records, manage electronic filing of client correspondence, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with day-to-day office tasks, including handling emails, phone calls, and scheduling appointments.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Attention to Detail: Ensure accuracy in documentation and data entry.
  • Organizational Skills: Manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • IT Proficiency: Familiarity with mortgage software (preferred but not compulsory) and general office applications.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to address and resolve issues promptly.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Industry Experience: Previous experience in mortgage administration or a related field is preferred. However, if you are an experienced administrator in another field, we would still welcome your interest.
  • Knowledge of Mortgage Products: Understanding of various mortgage products and relevant legislation is preferred but not compulsory.
  • Certifications: Mortgage qualifications (e.g., CeMAP) can be advantageous but is not compulsory.
