The Operations Management Trainee will oversee the departmental functions to ensure product quality, strategic goal achievement, and customer satisfaction throughout. You'll receive comprehensive training and hands-on experience across various departments such as Finance, Customer Support, Production, Purchasing, Sales, Marketing, Operations, HR, Quality, and IT; facilitating a thorough understanding of our business operation. Alongside gaining valuable business management expertise, you'll integrate into our management team, with opportunities to contribute to our strategic objectives.

Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally, including potential relocation, is essential for this role. There may also be occasional short-notice trips to Orlando to support our operation in the USA.

What you will be doing as a Trainee Operations Manager?

  • Participate in a comprehensive hands-on training program, rotating through different departments to gain a thorough understanding of all business functions and earn credibility through practical experience.
  • Adapt to changing business needs and contribute to operational efficiency across departments.
  • Achieve performance objectives set by upper management.
  • Shadow experienced employees to absorb their knowledge, methods, procedures, and performance standards.
  • Lead or assist in special projects as directed by upper management.
  • Provide regular progress reports on goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with management and trainers to monitor performance progress.
  • Receive training in the functions and operations of related departments to enhance transferability and increase promotional opportunities.
  • Offer support in various departments as required, such as reporting, data entry, presentation development, strategic planning, and customer service.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration between departments to optimise efficiency.
  • Fulfill additional duties to support departmental and business operations.
  • Participate in site visits to suppliers in the UK and Europe.
  • Perform any other relevant duties as needed for the role.

What experience will be required in role of Trainee Operations Manager?

  • Experience within an Operations, Logistics or Supply Chain role
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience would be desirable
  • Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrates quick learning ability and a drive for career advancement
  • Strong communication skills with the capability to engage effectively with various stakeholders
  • Hands-on approach to tasks
