Are you an experienced administrator with a background in logistics, shipping, or the hire industry? Our client near Southampton is looking for a confident and customer-focused Customer Service Administrator to join their busy and supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys building strong customer relationships while identifying upselling opportunities.

Position Overview:

  • Type: Temporary ongoing (potential to become permanent)
  • Location: Office-based, near Southampton
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Start Date: Immediate
  • Important: Driving would be advantageous as this role is based outside of easy public transport links.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for key customers, managing the full process from enquiry to post-hire feedback.
  • Handle incoming communications via phone, email, and website requests with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Coordinate daily logistics for deliveries and collections, ensuring smooth operations within the depot.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with regular clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to meet shared goals and maintain high service standards.

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in customer service or administration, ideally within logistics, shipping, or equipment/tool hire.
  • Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment.
  • A proactive, team-oriented attitude with a passion for delivering outstanding service
