We are working with a highly regarded financial services business based in the City who are looking to add a Senior Financial Accountant to the team.
With a strong track record of growth in recent years they are now diversifying operations into the tech industry through multiple acquisitions. You will be joining a lean and nimble operation team where you will report into the Head of Finance and manage one accounts assistant.
Duties will include:
- Prepare statutory accounts.
- Assist in monitoring annual budgets and forecasts, providing insights and analysis to support decision-making.
- Conduct variance analysis against budgets and forecasts, identifying key drivers and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across various departments to provide financial expertise and support business objectives.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts, including P&Ls, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Manage internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and addressing audit findings in a timely manner.
- Coordinate and execute ad-hoc financial projects and tasks, including data analysis, report generation and process re-design.
Application Criteria:
- ACCA/ ACA qualified
- Posses a minimum of 2 years post qualified experience in industry
- Financial services experience, or a strong desire to enter financial services
- A sound knowledge of technical accounting standards
Compensation:
- £70,000-£80,000 base salary
- Annual performance related bonus up to 20%
- Employer pension contribution of 5%
- 3 days in office per week
