Job Title: Early Years Educator
Location: Warwick
Job Type: Full-time (30-40 hours per week)
Pay: £12.50 - £15.00 depending on experience
Expected Hours: 20 - 40 hours per week

As an Early Years Educator, the successful candidate will work full-time, demonstrating their knowledge and best practices to colleagues while ensuring that children receive the best start in life.

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum Level 3 Qualification as per government guidelines
  • At least 2 years of previous experience working with and caring for children under 5, ideally in an early year setting
  • A passion for delivering high-quality childcare and creating exciting learning opportunities

Key Responsibilities & Duties:
As an Early Years Educator, the individual will be responsible for supporting management and staff within the setting to ensure the highest standards of care and education. Specific duties include:

  • Acting as a key person to ensure that every individual child's needs are met, including supporting parents with any special educational needs or additional needs.
  • Prioritising the safeguarding of children and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Attending parents' evenings, recruitment/open day events, and relevant training sessions.
  • Contributing to and participating in training and staff meetings to remain up to date with EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) requirements within the nursery.
  • Building strong relationships with parents and carers, providing daily reports on their child's time at nursery.
  • Taking ownership of observations, assessments, and planning for key children in line with EYFS, offering developmentally challenging next steps.
  • Staying current with childcare policies and procedures.
  • Being a team player to ensure the nursery achieves excellent outcomes in internal audits and external inspections, such as Ofsted.
  • Encouraging and praising children's development and achievements.
