Position: Legal Counsel
Role Type: Six month FTC
Location: Central London, Hybrid (3 days office-based, 2 days remote)
Salary: Up to £65,000 per annum (pro rata for the six-month contract)
About the Role:
We are seeking a Legal Counsel to join our clients In-House legal department on a six month fixed term contract, ideally starting in mid/late August (or early September at the latest). This is a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact within the organisation, focusing on general commercial agreements, consumer rights and data privacy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating general commercial agreements, including supply contracts and terms of business.
- Advising on data privacy matters and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Providing guidance on consumer rights and regulations.
- Collaborating with various departments to mitigate legal risks and ensure contractual obligations are met.
- Supporting the business with day-to-day legal queries and issues.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience.
- Qualified to practice law in the UK or a common jurisdiction, with experience working in the UK essential.
- Demonstrated expertise in general commercial agreements and data privacy.
- Ideally, experience with consumer rights and regulations.
- In-house legal experience is preferred, though we are open to candidates from private practice backgrounds.
