Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting a Registered Manager for an Adult Health and Social Care Setting supporting people with Mental Health and Learning Disabilities.

The service, based in Preston, will offer a residential service for individuals with autism and dual diagnosis mental health. This is a brilliant opportunity to join the team as they prepare to open a brand new, service for individuals stepping down from inpatient services. Through a personalised, person-centered approach, they strive to enhance self-awareness, foster personal growth, and give each individual the chance to lead a more fulfilling life within the community, independent of professional services.

Our client has been operating in the north for over 20 years specialising in Mental Health Learning Disabilities and Autism for people aged between 18-65.

The service will offer an 8-bed care home, with 3 self-contained apartments and 5 ensuite bedrooms. This service offers support for people stepping down from inpatient services who require extra support to develop independent living skills.

The successful applicant will act as a role model and ambassador and lead on the effective implementation of the client's philosophy values and business strategy. You will have overall accountability of providing specialist high quality care ensuring effective use of resource, maintain compliance, legislation and regulatory standards.

Salary: £38,000-£40,000 DOE + £2,000 Welcome Bonus paid at End of successful Probation (6 months)

Person Specification:

  • Educated to degree or equivalent level relevant to the position such as Registered Managers Award (RMA)
  • Level 5+ in Leadership and Management
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • It would be highly desirable if the applicant holds a professional care qualification such as Registered Mental Health Nurse, Registered Learning Disability Nurse or Qualified Social Worker.
  • The applicant must hold 3 years+ experience working as a manager within the same or similar health and social care setting supporting people with high acuity, complex mental health needs, learning disabilities and/or autism.
  • Proven record of accomplishments delivering measurable results.
  • Experience of effective management of large teams of staff, motivating and goal setting.
  • Ability to delegate appropriately whilst retaining accountable oversight.
  • Experience of budget and financial management
  • Ability to demonstrate emotional resilience when faced with difficult and demanding situations.
