Our client seeks a talented Bid Writer to join their small and focused team. The client is in an exciting position to be able to grow its business and the ideal candidate will be responsible for creating high-quality, compelling, and competitive proposals to secure new business opportunities. This role requires an understanding of tender processes through frameworks and tender portals, excellent written communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams and departments to produce winning bids. The client offers a good salary package and can offer full time or part time hours.

Duties

  • Research, analyse, and understand project requirements, specifications, and objectives outlined in tender documents or requests for Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQ's).
  • Collaborate with the team, to gather information necessary for bid preparation.
  • Write, edit, and customise proposals, ensuring they are compliant, persuasive, and tailored to meet client needs and expectations.
  • Craft compelling content, including executive summaries, technical narratives, methodologies, and other relevant sections, ensuring a clear and coherent message that highlights the company's strengths and capabilities.
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts to incorporate technical details, project plans, cost estimates, and any other essential information into proposals.
  • Manage multiple proposals simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and ensuring all submissions are of the highest quality.
  • Assist in maintaining a comprehensive database of past bid content, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and continuous improvement of proposal templates.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, market insights, and regulatory requirements to enhance the quality and competitiveness of bids.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience as a Bid Writer demonstrating a successful track record of winning bids.
  • Excellent written communication skills with an ability to articulate technical information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and familiarity with bid management software.
  • A detail-oriented approach with the ability to conduct thorough research and analysis.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Salary and Benefits
