Job Description: Freelance Section EngineerLocation: Wanlip Sewage Treatment Works, Severn Trent Water Site
Rate:£350-£400 per day
Start Date: Immediate
Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled Freelance Section Engineer with extensive experience in water treatment projects to join our team at the Wanlip Sewage Treatment Works. This role involves providing supervision and engineering support to deliver the Early Contractor Involvement Contract and subsequently the Main Works Contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision and Engineering Support:
Report to the Agent and oversee the engineering aspects of the project.
- Project Delivery:
Ensure the successful delivery of both the Early Contractor Involvement Contract and the Main Works Contract.
- Site Management:
Supervise the construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
- Technical Guidance:
Provide technical support and guidance to the project team.
- Quality Control:
Monitor and ensure the quality of work performed meets the required standards.
- Problem-Solving:
Identify and resolve any technical issues that arise during the project.
Requirements:
- Experience:
Previous experience working on water treatment projects is essential.
- Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of sewage treatment processes, including primary settlement tanks, Enhanced Biological Phosphorus Removal (EBPR) Activated Sludge Plant (ASP) lanes, and Final Settlement tanks.
- Communication:
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Team Collaboration:
Ability to work effectively within a team and liaise with various stakeholders.
- Attention to Detail:
High level of attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Project Details:The Wanlip Sewage Treatment Works comprises an inlet works feeding into two identical systems from the 1960s and 1990s. Both systems include primary settlement tanks, EBPR ASP lanes, and Final Settlement tanks.
