We're partnering with a brilliant organisation supporting asylum seekers and refugees to recruit a Finance System Implementation Manager to lead the transition from the current finance system to a modern, more efficient solution.
This role will manage the entire implementation process-from scoping and tendering to full deployment-ensuring the new system aligns with our organisational needs, enhances reporting, and drives efficiencies. It is a one year, fixed-term contract.
Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

Develop and manage a business case for the new finance system.

Oversee the end-to-end implementation, ensuring the project is delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

System Selection:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and select the most suitable system.

Support the procurement process in line with our technology strategy.

System Implementation:

Lead the integration, testing, and data migration processes.

Establish a new Chart of Accounts and oversee the rollout of user interfaces for key finance processes.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

Work closely with finance, tech, and other departments to understand and translate business requirements into system solutions.

Provide training and support to ensure successful adoption.

Process Optimisation:

Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.

Maintain documentation for system configurations and procedures.

Supplier Management:

Manage vendor contracts and relationships to ensure high-quality delivery.

Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and troubleshoot initial system issues.
About You:
Essential Experience:
- Proven experience in finance system implementation within a project management role.
- Strong understanding of complex data structures and process mapping.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle Financials, Microsoft Dynamics).
Desired Experience:
- Experience in managing system interfaces using Microsoft 365 tools.
- Familiarity with designing a Chart of Accounts.
- Background in working with charitable organisations.
Essential Skills:
- Strong understanding of finance systems and processes, including business rules within an accounting environment.
Desired Skills:
- Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA).
