Job Title:
Senior Accounts Assistant / Assistant Accountant
Key Responsibilities:
- Management Accounts
Support the preparation and analysis of management accounts.
Assist in the production of month-end reports.
- Support to Finance Manager
Provide assistance to the Finance Manager with various duties as required.
Support in analytical work and the creation of Excel reports.
- System Integrations
Aid in the integration of financial systems and ensure seamless operation.
- Transactional Duties
Assist with purchase ledger tasks, including processing invoices and payments.
Manage and process employee expenses and payroll.
- Credit Control
Manage and oversee the credit control process to ensure timely payments.
Maintain accurate records of all credit transactions.
- Sage 50
Utilise Sage 50 for accounting tasks and ensure accurate data entry.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proficient in Sage 50 accounting software.
- Ability to support the preparation of management accounts and month-end reporting.
- Strong understanding of credit control and purchase ledger processes.
- Experience in handling payroll and expenses.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficient in Excel and capable of creating detailed reports.
- Experience with financial system integrations is desirable.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask.
Qualifications:
- Relevant qualifications in accounting or finance (AAT, ACCA, CIMA, etc.) are preferred but not essential.
- Previous experience in a similar role is required.

- Competitive salary ranging from £30,000 to £38,000, depending on experience.
