We are partnered with an SME in the Cheetham Hill area of Manchester, supporting them in their search for a Bookkeeper.
As a Bookkeeper, you will be an integral part of the team, ensuring accurate and timely financial records.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining accurate financial records and preparing accounts.
- Managing bank reconciliations, payroll, and VAT returns.
- Preparing financial statements and reports for management.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
- Assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Liaising with auditors and preparing audit files.
- Handling accounts payable and receivable.
- Utilizing accounting software to streamline processes.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage).
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
