Leading UK Law Firm
Financial Services Disputes & Investigations
Associate / Senior Associate
London

This UK law firm operates out of 10 offices nationally, working with individuals and corporates across the UK and overseas, and are recognised for their exceptional capabilities in several practice areas by the legal directories.

A strategic focus on foreign banks, the wealth management sector, and asset-based lenders differentiates this practice from other City law firms. The team's broad workload spans representation in FCA enforcement proceedings and internal investigations, as well as advice on notification and reporting obligations. The Financial Services Disputes and Investigations team works across the banking and financial services sector and throughout the UK to resolve disputes and manage risks.

The team handles:

  • financial services litigation and arbitration (both domestic and international)
  • investigations and enforcement matters brought by the FCA and other bodies involving regulated firms, individuals and listed companies
  • issues and disputes across the financial services sector concerning data protection, financial markets, retail investment and finance, trusts, wealth management, pensions, insurance, insolvency, competition and reputation management.

The firm are looking to grow their Financial Services Disputes team in London with an Associate / Senior Associate, who will be working closely with specialist financial services disputes and litigation partners.
The ideal candidate will have 2 yrs PQE+ with particular experience in financial services disputes.

You can expect a varied and interesting case load consisting of contentious financial services matters, investigations, litigation and risk compliance. You would work on a range of financial services related matters including conduct investigations, fraud, money laundering, corruption, sanctions and bribery alongside leading FS disputes practitioners to support their complex caseload. It would be beneficial to have worked on professional negligence matters in your previous role and remediation experience would be of value.

Please apply as directed or confidentially contact Aidan McAvinue at Search Legal for more information. Alternatively, if this role is not for you, I am working on a variety of other Financial Regulatory Law opportunities with ranked teams in the City of London so would be interested to talk to any Financial Regulatory lawyer.
