This is what you will be doing
As a Family Solicitor, you will:
- Manage a caseload covering children's law (both public and private), domestic violence, and cohabitation matters.
- Handle tasks related to ancillary finances and divorce, with advocacy skills being advantageous.
- Handle a mix of privately funded and legal aid cases, with the opportunity for training in legal aid provided.
- Provide support to the head of the department and work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Contribute to maintaining the firm's reputation for staff welfare and professionalism.
This is what you will be bringing to the team
To excel in this role, you will need working experience as a family solicitor, or similar role. Ideally, you will have experience with most of the following:
- Substantial experience in family law practice, with expertise in children's law, domestic violence, and cohabitation.
- Familiarity with ancillary finances, divorce, and advocacy preferred.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload efficiently and provide high-quality client care.
- Willingness to collaborate within a team-oriented environment and support junior staff members.
- Option for remote working available post-probationary period, with paralegal or support staff provided.
