Matching Staff Solutions are working alongside our established client to find a Streetcare Waste Cleansing HGV Driver located in Bristol. This role is on a contract starting in June until October 2024. Your role will be to keep the city and local environment clean, tidy and adequately maintained.
Monday to Friday - 09:00am - 17:00pm.
The Role
Your main duties will include:
- Responsible for duties associated with HGV cleansing such as mechanical sweeping and operating a gully emptier.
- Aspects of grounds maintenance including hedge cutting, grass cutting, shrub bed maintenance.
- Using large plant such as tractors, tractor mounted flails etc.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:
- Knowledge of Health and Safety in an operational environment.
- Physical skills required to use machinery for several hours a day.
- Ability to solve straight forward problems.
- Communication skills required to exchange information with both staff and members of the public.
- Full UK driving license and CPC to category C1E no restrictions.
- Must have previous gardening/horticultural experience
