Monday to Friday - 9am-5.30pm (1hour lunch break)
I have an exciting new role with a local client. This is very much focussed on the events and sales elements of the role.
Job Description:
- Developing and growing the events sales by actively seeking out new corporate clients.
- Liaising with clients to ascertain their exact event requirements; providing detailed proposals/quotations; following these up and closing sales.
- Researching suppliers and contractors; negotiating prices and developing these relationships.
- Managing all logistics, and coordinating suppliers for each event, together with hosting events to ensure that they run smoothly.
- Setting up and packing down chairs and tables in the event space, and organising all elements required for events, such as safety equipment and refreshments.
- Assisting with the organisation/logistics of other company events such competition days and Open Days.
- Ensuring that all health & safety and legal obligations are adhered to.
- Assisting the Marketing Manager with marketing for events; as well as general marketing and social media (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn)
- Creating graphics and artwork (Affinity Suite or Canva)
- Keeping elements of the website up to date (Wordpress)
- Organising newsletters; uploading and managing contacts and growing mailing database (MailChimp)
- General role-related office administration such as completing booking forms and invoicing.
- Covering front desk reception as necessary.
