If so, we have an exciting temporary opportunity for you! We are seeking a Support Worker to join our team and provide essential support to individuals navigating through homeless pathways. This role offers a chance to be a part of a compassionate and dedicated team, making a real impact in the community.
- Empower individuals experiencing homelessness to access support services and resources
- Contribute to creating a safe and supportive environment for those in need
- Collaborate with a dynamic team to deliver high-quality care and assistance
Responsibilities:
- Provide practical support and guidance to individuals accessing homeless pathways
- Advocate for clients and assist in their journey towards stability and independence
- Collaborate with external agencies and community partners to ensure comprehensive support
- Maintain accurate and timely records of client interactions and progress
- Contribute to the development and implementation of support plans tailored to individual needs
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience in a similar support role within the homeless sector
- Understanding of the challenges faced by individuals experiencing homelessness
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexibly and respond effectively to changing needs
- Empathetic and non-judgmental approach to supporting vulnerable individuals
Preferred Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care
- Certification in Mental Health First Aid
- Valid driving license and access to own vehicle
