Supply Chain Co-Ordinator

Operating in the food and drink industry, they are now looking to grow their supply chain team with an experienced coordinator in a varied and diverse role!

Your new role
You will be working on-site within the office located in Neston. Due to the location of the office, the ideal candidate must drive. Hours of work will be 9am-5.30pm Monday-Friday, however a degree of flexibility may apply for the right candidate, post probationary period.
Your main responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Order Processing
  • Dealing with customers and suppliers on a day-to-day basis via phone and email.
  • Liaising with customers and suppliers on deliveries of goods.
  • Liaising with other departments to ensure smooth account handling.
  • Inputting and managing information on the ERP system such as contracts and orders.
  • Produce information for the commercial team as required (stock reports, customer and supplier contract balances).
  • Organising /coordinating shipments, vehicles, loads and journeys with third party providers
  • Operating company IT systems
  • Negotiating and agreeing logistic pricing - continually seeking the most cost-effective option
  • Developing and confirming schedules
  • Preparing paperwork for regulatory bodies
  • Adherence to company processes, procedures and protocols, including compliance
  • General administration - including preparing data for and attending meetings

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a self-motivated individual with high attention to detail. You will have strong communication skills and be adept and comfortable speaking with customers and other internal/external stakeholders. Priding yourself on your time management and organisational skills, you will be adaptable and a keen problem solver.
In addition to the above, the ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in a Customer and/or Supplier-facing role
  • Attention to detail
  • Proven ability to prioritise workload whilst maintaining deadlines.
  • I.T Literate - Working with spreadsheets including formulas and pivot tables.
  • Formal qualifications in logistics or distribution are preferred but not essential as full on-job training will be provided
  • Experience of working in a busy, fast-moving environment
  • Working on an ERP system

Previous experience within shipping and a working knowledge of SAP Business by Design is highly desirable
