Are you a skilled Systems Administrator ready to take your career to the next level? Join a leading data research company in Didcot and play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the IT infrastructure. You will be in the office at least twice a week.
The Senior Systems Administrator will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance and monitoring of the company's internal servers and infrastructure. You'll work closely with other members of the IT team to ensure the smooth operation of all hardware, software, and network systems, providing robust support to keep the companies cutting-edge market research projects running seamlessly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain servers, networks, and databases.
- Implement and oversee security measures to protect company data.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for IT issues.
- Plan and execute system upgrades and expansions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align IT solutions with business needs.
- Mentor and support junior IT staff.
Key Skills the Senior Systems Administrator will have:
- Experience managing and monitoring all internal servers (4 years system, 6 years global systems)
- Excellent experience with windows and M365
- Proficient with network technologies (Routers, switches and firewalls)
- Virtual servers (Hyper-V/VMware)
- Experience with Microsoft defender
- Some Linux server experience is desirable
Company benefits:
- Starting salary of £40,000 - £60,000 per annum
- Bonus of 5%
