Design Engineer

Currently working with a UK Based Manufacturer in Worcestershire to find a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing team. A competitive salary is on offer as well as an excellent benefits package.

The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for the design and development of a package of components. Duties will include:

  • Ensuring Design for Manufacture (DFM) runs smoothly.
  • Working on design projects from concept through to delivery.
  • Delivering projects to the time, cost, quality and specification in line with design processes and KPI's.
  • System design and technical calculations.
  • Bill of Materials (BOM) management.
  • Liaising with relevant stakeholders during project design.

To be successful in the role of Mechanical Design Engineer, the ideal candidate will offer the following skills:

  • Qualified to HNC or Degree level in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Knowledge of electro mechanical control systems and hydraulics.
  • Experience of working in a regulated industry.
  • Technical knowledge of pumping systems.
  • Experience of a 3D CAD package, ideally Solid Edge but all CAD packages will be considered.
  • Being accountable for tasks assigned by Area and Functional Leads.
  • Previous experience of working within a manufacturing environment.
  • Design for manufacture (DFM).
