Senior SQL Data Analyst

If so, we are searching for a data-driven, customer-focused, problem-solver to join our client's Software Data Support team as a Senior SQL Data Analyst.

Due to the nature of our roles, candidates must be a UK resident residing within commutable distance to Birmingham. Please note that we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.

  • £35,000 - £38,000 per annum, dependent on experience
  • Based in Birmingham - Hybrid Flexibility Available

Key Responsibilities

  • Handing customer queries and investigating/resolving data issues in line with agreed SLAs/KPIs.
  • Creating and testing SQL scripts to manipulate and analyse data on Microsoft SQL Servers.
  • Proposing, writing, and reviewing complex MS SQL scripting queries.
  • Developing tailored solutions and datasets for end-users, utilising system tools, databases, and scripts.
  • Program and maintain reports, dashboards, data generators and other information from end-users.
  • Monitoring existing processes and providing recommendations for improved optimisation to future-proof the customer support department.
  • Assist in designing and evaluating A/B testing to improve existing customer journeys.
  • Managing projects, including chargeable work, including new customer data conversions and migrations.
  • Contributing towards internal training and providing training to the wider business.
  • Conducting Root Cause Analysis to prevent recurring data problems.

Key Skills, Competencies & Attributes

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, including the ability to create, understand and review complex SQL queries.
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing role, preferably within a commercial software support environment, having utilised ticket management systems.
  • Able to work well under pressure, capable of adapting to and demonstrating resilience in relation to evolving business requirements.
  • An ability to take ownership of your workload and use initiative when problem solving.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of basic hardware infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of data-driven regulatory requirements, including Data Privacy & GDPR.
  • Experience with Team Foundation Server is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong analytical mindset, capable of solving complex problems with high attention to detail.
  • Are a UK resident with unrestricted right to work in the UK.
