Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the BD and marketing function, providing strategic direction and acting as a strategic advisor to key stakeholders and the wider partnership.
  • Work with partners and other key stakeholders to create and execute strategic business development and marketing plans that drive top-line growth.
  • Develop and manage the delivery of specific go-to-market campaigns alongside the marketing team.
  • Provide key information for regular board reports.
  • Collaborate closely with the head of PR and communications and, where necessary, with external PR agencies.
  • Lead the development of new product offerings, collaborating with partners and the wider marketing BD team.
  • Assist individual partners in developing and executing their personal BD and marketing plans.
  • Develop and manage relevant budgets, ensuring all materials and public information are current.
  • Lead on relevant pitch opportunities from inception to completion.
  • Work with the BD and marketing directors and other team members to deliver firm-wide projects and initiatives.
  • Manage key client accounts, working closely with partners, professional support lawyers, and other fee earners.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of practices within a law firm and client context from an external market sector and internal operational perspective.
  • Proven professional services experience with a track record of leading BD and marketing at a senior level.
  • Exceptional leadership and strategic planning skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across various teams and functions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in managing budgets and delivering comprehensive reports.
