Business Development Manager - Watford
£50,000-£55,000 + Commission + Vehicle
A leading UK-based environmental consultancy is seeking a Business Development Manager to join their expanding Watford office. This role is integral to supporting the growth of their new location and enhancing their national presence.
About the Company:
Independently owned and operating nationwide, this well-established consultancy is headquartered in the Midlands. They deliver a wide range of services across environmental risk management, working with both private and public sector clients to ensure safety and compliance.
Ideal Candidate:
The successful candidate will have over 2 years of experience in sales or account management within the environmental services sector, particularly in areas like hygiene or risk management consultancy. You'll be self-motivated with a proven ability to drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Senior Management to expand the company's presence across the UK
- Follow up on leads generated by the sales team and attend 2-3 client appointments daily
- Utilize the company's CRM system to monitor performance, forecast sales, and prepare detailed reports
- Implement strategic sales initiatives to enhance profitability and performance
- Oversee the costing and tendering process to ensure project margins are achieved
- Build and maintain strong industry relationships to position the company as a leading choice for environmental risk management services
- Manage existing client accounts with a focus on upselling and cross-selling additional services
- Conduct regular sales meetings with the management team to review progress and set future targets
Requirements:
- Proven experience in sales/account management within the environmental or consultancy sectors
- A full UK driving license
- Ability to work independently, including from home, with flexibility in your schedule
