Position: Secondary KS3/4 Teaching Assistant
LTF Recruitment is partnering with an inclusive Secondary school in Wandsworth committed to creating a nurturing and dynamic learning environment. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated General Teaching Assistant to join their Secondary KS3/4 classroom team, inspired to support young learners and contribute to their educational journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the KS3 teacher in preparing and delivering engaging lessons and activities.
- Support students during classroom activities, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a safe and orderly space for all students.
- Work with small groups or individual students to reinforce learning concepts and provide additional assistance as needed.
- Support the teacher in assessing student progress and providing feedback.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as organising materials, setting up equipment, and maintaining classroom records.
- Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
- A patient, caring, and enthusiastic attitude towards working with children.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of child development and educational practices.
