In-House Legal Counsel

The role
Drafting, managing and negotiating commercial contracts with clients and suppliers (including MSAs, Talent Agreements and NDAs).
Respond efficiently and speedily to day to day requests for assistance from all parts of the Group businesses, providing informed and considered counsel (including to senior management) while managing stakeholders' expectations.
Take an active role in supervising / mentoring the Junior Legal Counsel and the Legal Intern as required.
Research legal issues and present findings to General Counsel and the wider business in plain English. Stay on top of relevant developments in the law.
Assist with resolving disputes with clients and suppliers as needed.
Assist with employment and HR-related issues as required.
Assist with the drafting and updating of Group policies and compliance-related issues e.g. Data Privacy, Modern Slavery and Anti-bribery.
Assist as required with corporate deals, group structural matters, shareholder issues and incentivisation plans.
Assist where required with ad hoc legal projects e.g. new ventures
The requirements
- Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with in-house experience, ideally with some exposure to the marketing and/or creative sector. Commercial contract drafting and negotiation experience is a must.
