We are looking for a Network Officer to join our Network Management team. You will be crucial in supporting the delivery of gas to Multiple Occupancy Buildings (MOBs) across our network. We're looking for someone with a mindset for safety, solutions and communication to help us bring gas to our six million customers.

I help to keep people safe and warm by...

  • Supporting various activities managing gas supplies to multi-occupancy buildings (MOBs) across SGN's networks in both Southern and Scotland, including domestic gas risers and complex distribution systems (CDS) supplying larger commercial buildings
  • Managing the development and implementation of processes for CDS
  • Managing CDS survey programmes
  • Supporting the process for managing safety concerns with Network assets supplying multi occupancy buildings or any building safety concerns or risks
  • Work with Local Authorities, Housing Associations and other building owners to support and provide information packs relating to Building Safety Cases for high rise buildings
  • Managing the buy out process
  • Completion of management information and reports as required
  • Managing a small team to achieve the required objectives across all areas of work
  • Supporting the wider Network Management team with other tasks when required

What you'll need

  • Highly motivated with a flexible approach
  • Ability to respond and adapt quickly to change; and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to collate and issue accurate management information
  • Ability to learn and develop new skills quickly
  • Strong communication skills supporting regular liaison with other departments and stakeholders within SGN or externally
  • Good knowledge of SGN systems and processes
