We are seeking a Communications Advisor to develop & deliver the Press & external communications activity for this high profile, small but perfectly formed Department in the Public Sector.

Our client are a critical UK Executive Agency that operate as an arm's length body to a key Government Department.
Description
Be the 1st point of contact for all media and press enquiries

Develop and implement communication plans that will include:

Working with the CEO and Policy Lead to seek out appropriate press opportunities

Building strong multi-channel media relationships
-
Prepare all briefing documents, press releases and mandated communications

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies

Liaise with stakeholders both internally and externally to keep relevant groups well informed regarding communications activity.
Profile
The successful Communications Advisor will be able to demonstrate a strong track record across the following:
- A proven track record managing time-critical and sensitive external communications particularly with UK press and media contacts ideally in the financial space.
- Working knowledge of UK government departmental press office or equivalent
- Demonstrable work across both the planning and delivery of external communications in all it's forms.
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders, taking a view to building long term relationships and credibly representing the organisation.
- Excellent analytical skills with a highly structured, organised, and meticulous approach to preparation of all communications
- Strong inter-personal skills with ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels
Job Offer
- Competitive Daily rate circa £220/day depending on suitability for the role
- Initial 6 month contract - with possibility to extend
- Hybrid working - 3 Days Based in the London office
- 36 Hr working week
