This is a brand new position created within a global toy business due to exponential year- on- year growth, it is a truly unique, exciting role managing some of the best brands around! The successful applicant may already work within the toy, retail, licensing or entertainment industry and/or have an active interest in gaming and/or toys and collectibles. This role would suit someone who is currently a Brand Manager but I can also consider Assistant Brand Managers looking to step up.

The successful candidate will be immersed in the UK Brand and Marketing team, which is at the heart of the European business.

Main Tasks and Accountabilities:

  • Manage key toy brand(s), working on local strategic direction, product and marketing strategies
  • Build strong relationships with global teams to give feedback and secure what is needed to grow the European business
  • Work closely with regional European sales and marketing teams to develop retail strategies and marketing plans
  • Support European distributors with brand positioning, messaging, line updates and asset distribution
  • Support local markets and teams: share best practices and be the main point of contact for brand questions, ensuring dissemination of relevant information/assets
  • Manage local licensor relationships, supporting the EMEA licensing team
  • Set the brand objectives for Europe and at a country level, working with inputs from sales, insights, marketing and planning teams
  • Manage the product portfolio: line plan detail, brand line updates, localised product development/retailer exclusives
  • Lead, brief and execute media and PR campaigns
  • Monitor and analyse relevant markets, consumer behaviour and competitor activity
  • Responsible for in-store and online brand execution at retail
  • Prepare brand sales materials
  • Prepare and execute brand communication at key trade events
  • Monitor and review brand performance and sales data throughout the full brand lifecycle
  • Full accountability for setting, maintaining and reporting on brand KPIs and objectives
  • Report brand performance and activity in quarterly business updates

Skills & Experience:

  • Self-motivated and self-sufficient
  • Detail-oriented with financial acumen; ability to analyse data to make strong decisions
  • Proactive problem solver with a creative mindset
  • Ability to work on a wide variety of projects and hit deadlines, able to prioritise accordingly
  • Can work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships
  • Experience working within toy, entertainment and/or licensing is preferred
