IN-HOUSE Claims Manager

We are seeking an In-House claims professional to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial for ensuring that our supplier partners deliver optimal customer and claim outcomes. You will be the primary point of contact for queries and issues, aligning supplier partners and operational teams on service delivery, and ensuring performance meets our high standards.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for queries and issues both to and from our supplier partners.
  • Align supplier partners and operational teams on service delivery expectations.
  • Ensure timely delivery of management information reports from supplier partners to document ongoing performance.
  • Review and report on supplier performance against contractual service standards and key performance indicators.
  • Provide commentary to the wider business explaining supplier performance and outcomes.
  • Address any under-performance with suppliers and work on improvement plans.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on service failures and support suppliers in implementing recovery plans.
  • Ensure complaints have root cause analysis undertaken with appropriate action plans and resolutions in place.
  • Chair regular operational meetings with the supply chain.
  • Support the Supply Chain Manager in procurement activities, including market assessments, RFI and RFP processes, and contract negotiations.
  • Assist with due diligence or auditing requirements as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the UK Home Claims market is preferred.
  • Experience in a similar Supplier Management role, ideally within an Insurance Claims environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Proficient in analysing detailed management information to understand performance and commercial benefits.
  • Experience in managing supplier underperformance and improving performance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to implement pragmatic solutions.
  • Conflict management skills, facilitating constructive discussions between internal and supplier stakeholders.
