Reed Finance are supporting a South Oxfordshire based manufacturing and engineering business to recruit a new Cost Accountant to join their Finance team. This business, who are a household name, are based in lovely rural surroundings and offer excellent onsite facilities - such as an onsite gym and subsidised canteen.
They are seeking a new Cost Accountant with experience within the Engineering sector to focus on cost analysis of parts and to play a critical role in optimising and improving of inventories through detailed analysis of data gathered from the business. You will be working closely with cross-functional teams to report the cost implication of the business identifying areas for improvement, process enhancements and drive operational excellence. The team will focus on internal financial analysis using engineering principles, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for continuous improvement.
Key requirements are:
- Experience in a prototype manufacturing environment or similar.
- General understanding of CFRP manufacturing processes.
- Experience of analysing cost, processes, or project management skills.
- Rigorous approach to data analysis and interpretation.
- Good communications skills with the ability to influence, collaborate and communicate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels in the organization.
- Curious and enthusiastic to challenge the status quo whilst ensuring compliance.
- Agile mindset and flexible approach to comply with ever changing fast-paced environment.
Salary offered is 60-70k depending on experience and comes with good benefits and a supportive working environment. Please note, this is an office-based role.
