JEWELLERY WELDER

Our client is a premier ear-piercing and jewellery brand offering luxurious and unforgettable piercing experience. They specialise in creating a welcoming, safe and professional environment, ensuring each and every client receives a memorable and inspiring experience during their visit.

Our client is looking to hire multiple Jeweller Welder professionals to carry out jewellery welding services in-store. These role(s) require a high level of precision, attention to detail and a thorough understanding of welding techniques specific to that of fine jewellery.

The Jewellery Welder will work closely with clients to ensure high quality craftmanship and to deliver total customer satisfaction.

Job Role:

  • You will need to be familiar with all elements related to welding and fabrication.
  • You'll need to perform precise welding tasks using laser or traditional welding techniques to create and modify jewellery pieces, including but not limited to bracelets , rings and necklaces.
  • As to the precious metals that you'll be working with it will be gold and titanium.
  • Always a critic you will self-review your work both before and after welding to check for any defects or imperfections.
  • Customers expect welded joints to be secure and meet the required wear standard.
  • It maybe that you are involved with customers to understand their design specifications and requirements - perhaps tempering their ambition from a technical perspective as to the feasibility & durability of any design.
  • Equipment wise you will be ever conscious to maintain and calibrate your welding equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Of course when using such capital assets you will adhere to all given safety protocols to ensure a safe operating area for all.

Requirements:

  • Vocational training or certification in welding , metalworking or jewellery design is preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in welding preferably in the jewellery industry
  • Proven experience in laser welding equipment and tools
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with intricate designs
  • Good communication skills for collaborating with designers and clients
  • Understanding of different metals and their properties
  • Familiarity of jewellery design and the fabrication process
  • Awareness and constant implementation of safety and best operational practice in welding

POSITIONS: 4part-time positions available
HOURS: 20 hours per week
