Grafton Banks Finance are supporting an accountancy practice who are looking for a Payroll Supervisor on a 12-month, fixed-term contract. With offices in the Uckfield area, this role will be supporting the firm with end-to-end payroll duties for a portfolio of clients.
Duties may include:
- Liaising with clients and entering payroll data from start to finish
- Reconciling payroll to client data, getting client approval as appropriate and issuing payroll reports & payslips
- Reviewing team member's work
- Preparing payroll journals
- Reconciling weekly and monthly PAYEF figures
- Preparing BACS files
- Administering Pension Auto-enrolment including making appropriate declarations to The Pensions Regulator
- Producing and distributing pension scheme returns, including notification of changes in members' status and uploading to pension provider
- Dealing effectively with queries from clients, and HMRC and other parts if the business
- Assisting with onboarding new clients.
- Share knowledge internally and externally.
What our client is looking for:
- An experienced Payroller, ideally with experience working with an accountancy practice or payroll bureau.
- Available on short, or immediate notice (due to this being a fixed term contract)
- Ability to commute to Uckfield offices 3-4 days per week
