Position

We are seeking a skilled Salesforce Developer and Advanced Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Salesforce development and administration, with expertise in customising and optimising Salesforce solutions to meet the needs of William Reed. This role requires a combination of technical proficiency and problem-solving skills to design, develop, and implement innovative solutions that enhance our Salesforce platform.

What you'll be doing:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and work with the product owner to gather requirements and understand business needs.
  • Design and implement custom Salesforce solutions, including custom objects, fields, flows, and validation rules.
  • Develop and maintain Apex code, Visualforce pages, Lightning components, and other custom functionality as needed.
  • Customise and configure Salesforce features to optimise platform performance and user experience.
  • Integrate Salesforce with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs as and when required and other integration tools.
  • Monitor system health and performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure platform stability.
  • Stay current with Salesforce releases and new features and assess their impact on our organisation.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to Salesforce administrators, including training and documentation.
  • Create user release notes for new enhancements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices and help drive continuous improvement of our Salesforce platform.
  • Act as a mentor and train the current Salesforce Admins, upskilling them with the help of the Salesforce Product Manager.

What you'll need:

  • Salesforce Administrator and Developer certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Administrator, Salesforce Certified Platform Developer or similar).
  • Proven experience developing and customising Salesforce solutions, ideally with hands-on experience.
  • Proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning components, and other Salesforce development tools.
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, data model, and security model.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely within a team.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus and working with sprints.
  • Continuous learner mindset with a passion for exploring new technologies and best practices in Salesforce development and administration.
