A start up LegalTech provider of comprehensive legal software solutions, known for innovation and excellence in the legal technology industry, is seeking a Business Development Manager.

Business Development Manager (Legal SAAS) - Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation and Pipeline Management: The Business Development Manager will develop and establish networks for lead generation, maintain a robust business pipeline, and actively engage in new business development.
  • Client Engagement: They will understand client business challenges and align them with the company's legal software solutions to drive value and solve critical issues.
  • Account-Based Marketing (ABM): The role involves participating in ABM activities, attending industry events, and drafting compelling business cases to support sales initiatives.
  • Consultative Selling: Leveraging market knowledge to engage in consultative selling, the Business Development Manager will ensure client needs are met while consistently achieving KPIs.
  • Sales Management: They will prepare detailed sales bids, manage end-to-end sales cycles, respond effectively to RFPs, and achieve set revenue targets.
  • Collaboration and Record-Keeping: Maintaining accurate sales records, collaborating with team members, participating in strategic initiatives, and undertaking additional duties as needed to support business growth will be key responsibilities.

Business Development Manager (Legal SAAS) - Qualifications

  • Experience: The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success selling to C-suite and partner-level decision-makers within SME-level legal firms.
  • Industry Knowledge: Extensive experience selling legal software solutions, including practice management, document management, case management, billing, AI and automation, security services, and cloud-based products is essential.
  • Sales Expertise: Proven ability in lead generation, pipeline management, and proactive new business development is required.
  • Client-Centric Approach: The candidate should have the ability to align client business issues with tailored software solutions, demonstrating strong consultative selling skills.
  • Strategic Marketing and Engagement: They should be skilled in executing ABM activities, attending industry events, and drafting persuasive business cases.
  • Sales Process Management: Proficiency in preparing sales bids, managing sales cycles, responding to RFPs, and consistently achieving revenue targets is essential.
