We are looking for a dedicated Loan admin Officer to join our growing team. The successful candidate will work across various loan portfolios on behalf of multiple clients, undertaking a range of post-completion loan servicing activities. This role requires a commitment to delivering excellent service while ensuring fair treatment of customers and the best outcomes.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Review and process requests for information accurately and within service level agreements.
  • Handle standard loan enquiries from customers and their advisors, ensuring accurate and current information.
  • Process amendments to customer accounts in line with procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Inform customers of payments due and ensure accurate collection in accordance with BACS rules.
  • Promptly process requests for redemption statements and oversee the release of loan security upon receipt of funds.
  • Calculate and process financial transactions in the servicing system.
  • Ensure accurate boarding of new loans and issuance of correct correspondence.
  • Oversee loans approaching expiry and ensure appropriate follow-up action.
  • Review company watch notifications and take appropriate action.
  • Liaise professionally with clients, third parties, and other business areas.
  • Report any system or loan issues, making recommendations as necessary.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong mathematical skills for checking figures, instalments, and interest calculations.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels, both verbal and written.
  • High attention to detail for accurate and professional information recording.
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member, supporting others and delivering on promises.
  • Quick learner with a desire to take on new systems and concepts.
  • Empathetic manner for handling difficult conversations sensitively and appropriately.
  • A proactive attitude with a desire to identify and deliver effective solutions.
  • Competence in using Microsoft Office packages.

Desirable:

  • Experience in the lending industry.
  • Basic knowledge of specialist finance in the UK.
  • Knowledge of financial services industry regulations.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Knowledge of the loan redemption process.
  • Industry-recognised qualification.
