Your location: Living in the UK near an international airport (Preference given to either Golden triangle areas of London, Oxford, Cambridge, Midlands or M62 corridor)

Are you a sales hunter with a track record (circa 3 years +) of selling instruments and/or consumables, services in one or more of the following areas: NGS, Nucleic Acid Purification, PCR, Automated Library Preparation, Synthetic Biology, CRISPR, Genetic Testing or similar genomics fields?

If so, then you could be the perfect candidate for this newly created role in my clients European Genomics sales team!

The role of Senior Business Development Manager - Genomics:

  • As a Senior Business Development Manager for the Genomics division, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with clients, developing strategic partnerships, and contributing to the development of the Genomics product portfolio
  • You will spend a lot of your time meeting clients in person to truly understand their workflow requirements and then delivering a winning solution
  • This will include well known blue chip clients in Academia, Pharma, Biotech, CRO, Clinical Research & Agrigenomics
  • Collaborate with Marketing on creating a marketing plan, registering/planning/attending local vendor shows, creating and executing on campaigns
  • Work cross-functionally with Inside Sales, Technical Support and in some cases Corporate Accounts ensuring effective collaboration of resources to deliver on client needs

The requirements for the Senior Business Development Manager - Genomics:

  • Circa 3 years experience selling instruments and/or consumables or services in one or more of the following genomics areas: NGS, Nucleic Acid Purification, PCR, Automated Library Preparation, Synthetic Biology, CRISPR, Genetic Testing or similar genomics fields
  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related field
  • Excellent understanding of the Genomics and NGS sales /sales support and marketing process
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and strategic partners
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Ability to work remotely and collaborate effectively with virtual teams
  • Experience with laboratory automation and instrumentation is a plus
