About this Role:

An Ideal opportunity for an ambitious and highly motivated Site Foreman / Assistant Site Manager, who is keen to learn, gain experience and progress up through the ranks. Initially working on a £45k refurbishment of an existing college with new partition walls and internal refurb of the existing facilities on site

Reporting to the Project Manager and Senior Site Manager, you will be responsible for the management of work activities and trade subcontractors.

Duties include mucking in with deliveries ,supervising works ,site safety and keeping the areas clean and ready for work

As well as being a hands-on site supervisor / Foreman you will be coordinating sub-contract trades, ensuring company standards followed for health and safety, quality assurance, coordination and progress meetings, issue resolution, snagging and handover.

About the Company/Client/Project:

Projects for this contractor included schemes in the commercial, industrial, leisure and retail sectors across the Hampshire and Dorset areas, typically ranging £1m to £5m

This southern regional office is well established in the area, with an annual turnover in excess of £20m in the Hampshire & surrey and Sussex areas. Often work is secured on a competitive tender basis, frameworks or negotiated work for repeat clients.

Requirements including certificates and qualifications:

Ideally have a trades background in construction and , you will have gained some practical site experience to date as a site supervisor .

You will possess basic/developing contractual, commercial, and technical construction knowledge, with the ability to plan ahead, organise work forces and coordinate the trades on site to meet quality standards and work to deadlines.

You will possess your CSCS supervisor card, and ideally SMSTS or SSSTS and First Aid qualifications.

High standards, attention to detail and the drive to deliver work on time, spec and budget will be well rewarded with potential ongoing work for the right candidate.
