Debt Recovery Paralegal

Due to continued success and increased workload our client is looking for a Debt Recovery Paralegal to join their Commercial Debt Recovery Team at Redditch. You will be responsible for managing a high-volume caseload of both pre-legal and legal matters with a view to recovering overdue monies on business to business debts.

As a key point of contact you will be expected to build and develop strong relationships whilst gaining an understanding of their commercial requirements.

The Debt Recovery Paralegals daily duties include: -

  • Preparing court documents and processing legal files
  • Manging incoming telephone and email communication from a variety of sources e.g. debtors, clients, courts and high court enforcement officers
  • Utilising a variety of resources to perform necessary research
  • Reporting to clients in a timely and professional manner
  • Accurately opening a new file

The successful Debt Recovery Paralegal will have the following skills and experience: -

  • Experience within a law firm preferably a commercial environment
  • Understanding of the debt recovery process, pre legal and legal
  • Experience operating case management systems
  • Familiar with issuing claims using County Court Business Centre
  • Excellent Written and verbal communication skills
  • Legal qualifications held / working towards (e.g CILEx) preferred.

In return you can expect to receive a basic salary of between £27,000-£34,000 depending on your legal experience and a fantastic benefits scheme including hybrid working, performance related bonus, private healthcare and more.
