Band 6 Occupational Therapist- Haematology/BT
Location: Swansea- Cross site cover required
Start date- ASAP
End date- 6+ months
Shift Pattern:
- Full time (Full rota cover (Days, nights, weekends) inc solo workin)
- 08:00/08:30 - 16:00/16:30
Skills/Experience:
- To effectively communicate with patients and their carers/family members, including the sensitive management of complex or contentious issues
- To deal effectively with patients suffering from conditions that may lead to psychological distress including anxiety, depression, and aggressive behaviour
- Be able to write complex reports accurately describing patients clinical status and ensuring that the information provided aids effective continuing care and clinical management.
- Professional assessments and care interventions within legislation and the COT and HCPC practice requirements
- Manage, supervise and support staff as required
- Contribute the skills, knowledge and performance of the OT team
