TITLE: Operations Analyst

Location: Reading (Hybrid)

REPORT TO: Operational Director

Salary: £30 000- £40,000

Benefits: Salary + annual bonus, healthcare and 28 days annual leave not including bank holidays

THE ROLE

This role will support and enable the delivery of a range of utilities operational functions. The role will focus on planning, project delivery, data capture, reporting and coordinating activities across operations. These will range from developing technical inspection plans, developing maintenance data, project monitoring, coordinating emergency response activities and developing key operational metrics and reports within the utilities sector.

  • Developing inspection/audit/review programs.
  • Developing asset data and compiles data through appropriate software, processes, and systems.
  • Receiving fault and emergency requests and deploying resources to mitigate issues.
  • Compiling network defect reports and providing monitoring is aligned to changing risks.
  • Monitoring the delivery of contract expectations and reports against these.
  • Documenting information relevant to all our procedures, processes, and policies.
  • Maintaining and extending personal expertise in specific areas relevant to the requirements of the role.

PERSONAL SPECIFICATIONS

  • A numerate degree or equivalent experience in managing data.
  • Experience in managing third parties to remediate defects and issues.
  • Experience in developing data analytics in MS Excel or similar.
  • Knowledge of utility operations would be highly desirable.
  • A collaborative mindset focused on growth, used to work closely with colleagues and external partners.
  • A genuine passion and drive for "getting stuff done" to help deliver an amazing service.
  • Experience within a utility asset adoption process would be highly desirable.
  • Someone who takes ownership of their workload, communicating realistic timescales.
  • Great attention to detail and can think on your feet and problem solve as you go.
  • Contribute to support the wider team.
  • Experience writing and analysing reports
