Role Overview:

The Project Engineer is responsible for managing mechanical and electrical schemes and maintenance activities, ensuring that all operations meet the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and safety. This role involves a strong focus on minimizing wastage and fostering a safe working environment for all colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Management:
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of mechanical and electrical projects.

  • Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.

  • Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines and objectives.

  1. Quality Assurance:
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure that all engineering work is performed to the highest standards.

  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of mechanical and electrical work to identify areas for improvement.

  • Collaborate with team members to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.

  1. Efficiency Optimization:
  • Analyze workflows and processes to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.

  • Utilize industry best practices and innovative solutions to enhance project performance and reduce costs.

  • Monitor resource utilization to minimize wastage and ensure sustainable practices are followed.

  1. Safety Management:
  • Promote a safety-first culture within the team and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.

  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for potential hazards associated with projects.

  • Provide training and support to staff to enhance their understanding of safety protocols and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in project management within mechanical and electrical engineering sectors.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, quality assurance practices, and safety regulations.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
