Are you an inspiring and passionate Religious Education (RE) teacher looking for a new challenge? A lovely secondary school in the heart of Kensington is seeking an enthusiastic RE Teacher to join their team on a long-term supply basis, with the potential for permanent employment depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Teach Religious Education across KS3 and KS4, delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons.
- Plan, prepare, and assess students' work in line with the curriculum.
- Encourage critical thinking, reflection, and respectful discussions around world religions, ethics, and philosophy.
- Support students in their personal development, fostering a love for learning and a deeper understanding of diverse beliefs.
- Contribute to the wider school community, attending departmental meetings and working collaboratively with colleagues.
Ideal Candidate:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and has relevant experience teaching RE at KS3 and KS4.
- A strong understanding of the RE curriculum and the ability to inspire students of all abilities.
- Excellent classroom management skills and a commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- A passion for promoting critical thinking, tolerance, and respect for different cultures and religions.
- A proactive and flexible approach to teaching, with a desire to contribute to the school's success.
