Your new role
As a Shift Maintenance Engineering Team Leader, you will become a leading part of their Operations and Maintenance team. Your shift pattern will be days only, and 4 on 3 off, 3 on 1 off, 3 on 3 off, and 4 on 7 off across 4 weeks. You will lead a team of 4 made up of Senior Maintenance Technicians and Maintenance Technicians, and the role may also include management responsibility for their team of painters or an apprentice. The role will report to the London Operations and Maintenance Manager. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivery and organisation of both reactive and planned maintenance as well as project activities across our prestigious grade I listed site at Threadneedle Street and our Moorgate site.
  • Operational, hands-on support to the team if and when required.
  • Working closely with the Building Services Managers to provide feedback on maintenance regimes, escalate priority issues, conditional state, compliance, and ideas for optimisation.
  • Ensure work completed in accordance to agreed methods, risk assessments, SLAs etc.
  • Work with relevant teams to prioritise and effectively assign workload across the team.
  • Develop and maintain effective communications and working cultures in the team.
  • Ensure data quality standards in CAFM are maintained with risks escalated effectively.
  • Conducting Authorised Person duties.

What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role as Shift Team Leader you will require relevant experience in managing engineers in a commercial environment. You will demonstrate strong leadership qualities and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Key skills and experiences include:

  • HNC/HND or equivalent in building services / Level 3 technical qualifications with significant experience.
  • 18th edition.
  • Staff and team management experience.
  • Ability to operate as Authorised Person.
  • Industry-recognised H&S qualification is desirable.
  • Experience in completing Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
  • Experience in using CAFM systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of statutory compliance.
  • You will need to pass the National Security Vetting Clearance and additional Bank security checks.
