As the Part-Time Finance Manager, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day financial operations of our client's property & construction company.

You will be responsible for managing their bank accounts, providing regular financial reports to the Managing Director, analysing cash flow, and reconciling bank and credit card accounts. Your expertise in using Sage and other accounting systems will be essential as you supervise the accurate posting of accounting entries in accordance with Group policy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Group's bank accounts and provide daily financial reporting to the Managing Director.
  • Analyse cash flow and provide regular cash flow reports.
  • Take charge of the supplier payment process and ensure timely payments.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Supervise the use of Sage and ancillary records, ensuring compliance with Group policy.
  • Effectively manage the sales and purchase ledger.
  • Collaborate with external accountants and bookkeepers to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Complete and submit all returns to HMRC and other statutory bodies, including VAT, PAYE, and C.I.S for both group companies.
  • Maintain employer records for PAYE staff.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in finance management in the construction industry.
  • Proficiency in Sage and other accounting software (Xero).
  • Familiarity with Construction Industry Scheme (C.I.S) payments is essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and deliver accurate results within deadlines.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues at all levels.
