Are you a skilled Physiotherapist looking for your next challenge? Do you have experience working in a mental health setting?

Service Care Solutions are working with Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust to recruit a Band 7 Lead Physiotherapist to support an Adults Learning Disability Service in the Cambridge area.

The contract duration is for a minimum of 3 months with the likelihood of extension. This is a full-time placement with 37.5 hours available. Part-time applications will also be considered.

Shifts: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00
Location: Cambridge
Pay: £30.00 p/h LTD
Bonus: £250 Sign-Up Bonus

Job Purpose - Band 7 Physiotherapist

The post holder will lead a multi-disciplinary team, carrying a defined clinical caseload for individuals. The successful candidate will provide Physiotherapy for Adults with Learning Disabilities

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide professional leadership and management within the Learning Disability Partnership, ensuring the delivery of a specialist physiotherapy service in line with regulatory requirements.
  2. Manage a highly complex caseload, planning and implementing appropriate clinical interventions based on individual assessments and needs.
  3. Contribute to the planning, development, and evaluation of learning disability services, holding responsibility for specific projects.
  4. Offer clinical and managerial supervision, annual appraisals, and professional development for physiotherapy staff and students.
  5. Lead multidisciplinary and multi-agency collaboration to ensure patient-centred care, involving patients and carers in decision-making processes.
  6. Ensure compliance with clinical governance requirements and contribute to policy and service development within the partnership.
  7. Develop and provide specialist training and education to professionals, partners, and carers, and ensure personal and team compliance with mandatory training.
  8. Monitor and ensure the quality and safety of physiotherapy services, adhering to NICE guidelines and other best practices.
  9. Efficiently manage physiotherapy resources to ensure equitable service delivery across the Learning Disability Partnership.
  10. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation, policies, and best practices relevant to learning disability, and ensure continuous professional development for self and team .
