Assistant Property Fund Manager

Axon Moore are working with an investment company with offices across the UK to appoint an Assistant Property Fund Manager in Manchester, assisting the Head of Property Fund. The business is going from strength to strength and have won multiple awards. They operate with social impact in mind and are looking for someone who shares their core values and takes an interest in the work they do

The Assistant Property Fund Manager will add to and strengthen the team, managing a portfolio of over £300m funds. You will come from a Financial Services/Fund Management/Impact Investment background, so qualifications aren't essential. You'll be used to a fast paced environment and motivated to deliver for the team.

Salary and benefits:

Salary - £42,000 - £47,000 DOE, 25 days holiday plus banks, a 9 day fortnight (5 and 4 day week!), flexible working hours around core hours of 9.30-3, hybrid working 2-3 days in the office, pension, C2W, Electric Vehicle scheme. Extended Pat and Mat pay, sick leave, paid sabbatical after 10 years' service.

Responsibilities include:

  • Work alongside the Property Fund Manager and the wider team.
  • Monitor fund performance against financial and non-financial objectives.
  • Attend investment committee meetings, in lieu of the manager where needed.
  • Support investors throughout the process.
  • Assist with quarterly investor reports
  • Work with external stakeholders to deliver the bi-annual valuation
  • Monitor housing partner performance and report to the property team.
  • Develop relationships with housing partners.
  • Measure fund deployment vs. target.
  • Analyse property data and manage handovers, escalating any issues
  • Support the delivery of fund ESG and impact strategies

Experience & Skill Requirements:

  • Experience in financial services/fund management/impact investment is essential
  • Would like to be part of a growing business with a strong social purpose
  • Strong Excel skills and overall use of the MS Office suite.
  • Self-motivated, organised and showing initiative.
  • Strong communication skills and able to work inter-departmentally
  • Professional, yet enthusiastic. Team player who enjoys a challenge.
