The team specialises in providing expert advice to renowned employers in both the public and private sectors. They handle a diverse range of human resource issues, spanning from day-to-day matters to strategic management, both within the UK and across borders. Furthermore, the team is adept at managing approximately 1,000 Employment Tribunal claims each year, making them the largest user of the EAT.

Joining our client's team as an Employment Associate offers individuals exposure to a broad spectrum of employment law areas. From conducting investigations to handling senior executive exits, cross-border projects, litigation, data protection, and industrial action - the role encompasses various aspects of this field.

At our client's organisation, they prioritise work-life balance for their employees. Through their Flex Forward programme, they provide three different methods of working and the flexibility to "glide time" by adjusting hours across the day and week.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertaking a diverse workload of employment matters, advising employers across multiple sectors such as health, tech, and financial services.
  • Progressing and managing a wide variety of client matters, both contentious and non-contentious, of varying complexity and scale.
  • Engaging in marketing activities with existing and potential clients.
  • Assisting in client training and other external seminars, including presenting where necessary.
  • Maintaining and developing technical knowledge to stay at the forefront of the field.

The ideal candidate for this role will possess:

  • Enthusiasm for employment law and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • A strong academic background.
  • At least 3-4 years of post-qualification experience as a Solicitor/Associate.
  • The ability to work with a reasonable level of self-sufficiency while seeking supervision when appropriate.
  • A client-focused and commercially driven mindset.
  • The capacity to learn quickly and adapt while on the job.
  • A team-oriented and collaborative approach.
  • Willingness to share knowledge and support other team members.
