Based near Kingswinford (West Midlands) and to ensure manufacturing processes run in conformance to process control plans and SOP's, we are seeking a Quality Support who will ensure products are inspected and tested in line with documented arrangements and conform to specification.

As part of this role, you will record and analyse data to facilitate process and product improvement and defect reduction. This is a full-time role and is site based working day shifts.

Working in a busy manufacturing environment, your key responsibilities will include:

  • First-Off, Last-Off, In-Process inspection of products against engineering drawings and process control plans
  • Use measuring, test equipment and gauges
  • Recording and analysis of data from product inspection and testing
  • Training and coaching of the manufacturing team in regard to product quality requirements
  • Promote customer product quality expectations and requirements throughout the business
  • Implement reaction plans to non-conforming material and problem resolution procedures as necessary
  • Ensure compliance to and maintenance of IATF16949, ISO9000 & ISO13485 standards
  • Conduct internal audits
  • Maintain SOP's and quality instructions
  • Input into APQP / PPAP process
  • Support in production operations / roles

Your key relationships in this role will include the Quality Manager, Production Supervisor, Metrology Engineer and other Manufacturing Staff.

To support this role, your education/qualifications should include having an IAFT:16949:2016 internal auditor certification where possible, but specifically have experience in a production / manufacturing environment. Good working knowledge of IAFT:16949, ISO13485 & ISO9001 would be highly supportive.

Key for this role is the attention to detail. Knowledge of PCDIMIS & Nikon Nexiv running skills are essential and if possible, programming skills. You will need to be able to communicate well with manufacturing team and have flexibility to support production roles as required. In addition, have strong analytical and organisation skills as well as an ability to find effective solutions to problems. You will need to be PC literate.
