Management Accountant

We are seeking a Management Accountant for a growing hi-tech business. This role is ideal for someone with comprehensive management accounting experience, potentially studying for a professional qualification and ready for their next career step. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the preparation of monthly accounts and support daily finance operations. Immediate availability is required for consideration.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Report to the Financial Controller (FC) within a supportive finance team.
- Utilise financial tools such as Sage 200, Xero, and Excel to manage accounts.
- Assist the FC with a fast and accurate month-end close.
- Handle general ledger account posting and analysis.
- Manage accruals and prepayments.
- Prepare weekly sales updates and performance reports.
- Track performance against budget and forecast.
- Conduct commercial analysis of customers and product profitability, including producing commentary.
- Reconcile balance sheet control accounts.
- Ensure billing system integration and accuracy.
- Collaborate with commercial sales and operations teams to gain a comprehensive understanding of customers and products.
- Identify opportunities to improve and develop financial processes and procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar Management Accountant role with experience in the preparation of management accounts.
- Part Qualified or Qualified by Experience (QBE) candidates will be considered.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to adding value and developing internal processes.
- Hands-on team player with excellent communication skills, capable of liaising at all levels.
