Business Analyst (Integrated Systems)

  • Salary: Competitive
  • Location: Flexible with travel across the country as needed
  • Job Type: Full-time, Fixed Term Contract (12 months)

We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our Transformation Portfolio team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the project team exploring the replacement of current people, duty, finance, and pay systems with an integrated solution. This role requires expertise in business and data analysis, systems procurement, project, and/or change management practices.

Day to day of the role:

  • Lead the creation of a comprehensive set of system replacement requirements, centering on user and customer experience.
  • Conduct pre-market engagement to refine requirements and understand market capabilities.
  • Develop full tender specifications and evaluation criteria that align with gathered requirements.
  • Draft and present business cases, demonstrating evidence for recommendations and expected investment returns.
  • Perform service line assessments and process analysis, recommending system replacement, integration, and adoption.
  • Analyse organisational problems and identify solutions, mapping out return on investment for system requirements and process changes.
  • Plan and facilitate workshops to identify system requirements and process adoption opportunities.
  • Communicate with senior stakeholders, providing briefings to inform decisions and gain project endorsement.
  • Ensure sustained delivery of solutions, identifying risks, dependencies, and anticipated timescales for return on investment.
  • Produce reports and visual documentation that clearly set out problems, proposals, and recommendations for change.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Degree in business, social science, or an analytical subject, or equivalent experience.
  • Lean Green Belt or a quality management accreditation.
  • Proven experience in business and process analysis leading to effective system replacement recommendations.
  • Experience in supporting large scale commercial exercises, pre-market engagements, and system replacements focused on user/customer experience.
  • Strong understanding of organisation design, service design, and Lean Six Sigma (DMAIC) techniques.
  • Experience in producing business cases and reports for senior management.
  • Excellent research, analysis, facilitation, and engagement skills.
  • Knowledge of system integration options, ERP solutions, and commercial processes.
  • Desirable: Business Analysis qualification and experience supporting the implementation of an ERP and/or duty management system.
